HEAD BARTENDER / ASSISTANT MANAGER

RC Dugans is looking for an experienced Head Bartender/Assistant Manager who knows the hospitality industry inside and out. We’re looking for someone who can make a great drink, command a busy bar, motivate a team and help keep the entire operation running smoothly.

This isn’t just another bartending position. You’ll be a key part of the leadership team and have a real hand in the continued growth of Dugans.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead the Bar:
  • Oversee day-to-day bar operations, including inventory, cash handling, scheduling and organization.
  • Lead, train and motivate the bartending team.
  • Maintain consistent drink quality, presentation and service standards.
  • Help develop creative, profitable cocktails and beverage offerings.
  • Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked and ready for service.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with applicable liquor laws.
  • Set the tone behind the bar and make sure guests receive fast, friendly and memorable service.
Help Lead the Restaurant:
  • Work alongside the General Manager with daily restaurant operations.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, payroll and guest relations.
  • Help hire, onboard, train and develop team members.
  • Step in, problem-solve and keep things moving during busy services.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and help turn problems into positive experiences.
  • Assist with inventory, cost controls and operational efficiency.
  • Help create a workplace where people actually want to show up and be part of the team.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
  • 3+ years of bartending and/or restaurant leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer and bar operations.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Confident leadership skills without the ego.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Organized, dependable and comfortable making decisions.
  • Able to coach, motivate and hold a team accountable.
  • Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling and inventory.
  • Able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights and weekends.
